Creating a New Project: Overview

Creating a project is simply the process of designating the root of the project tree. The root of the project tree can be empty or populated with project files. If you designate an empty root folder, you can add files later using Code Co-op. If you designate a project tree with existing files, you will have the opportunity to pick individual files or whole classes of files and add them to the project. Once this is done, all the added files will be under Code Co-op's control.

Remember, once a file is part of a Code Co-op project, it is made read-only, so that you can't inadvertently modify them. To make modifications, you have to check them out. All activity is done against the files within the project tree.
